Tour of Britain Cycle Race – Bungay leg

The Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men is back this September, and for the first time ever, the entire final stage will take place right here within East Suffolk!
It will mark the seventh edition of the men’s Tour to have visited Suffolk, and it will also be the first time that the county has hosted the prestigious final stage – with the last day of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race getting underway in Lowestoft and finishing in Felixstowe on Sunday 8 September.
The race zips through Bungay on Sunday 8th September, having started in Lowestoft at 11am and finishing at Felixstowe between 2.45pm and 3.20pm, a distance of around 98 miles. The riders should start arriving in Bungay from 11.45am.
The route from Beccles is on the Bungay Road, via Barsham, into Bungay on Hillside Road East before turning left onto St. John’s Hill and off to Halesworth. If you are shopping at the Coop at that time – expect delays!
