Bungay Folk Festival

Bungay’s first Folk Festival takes place over the weekend of 6 – 8 September with events all over Bungay, in the Fisher Theatre, St. Mary’s Church, Holy Trinity Church, The Bell Gallery, The Three Tuns cellar, the Community Centre, the Castle Bailey…
The Festival includes a series of workshops (over a dozen at the last count) across the Festival for musicians to hone their skills on traditional instruments such as the banjo, dulcimer, bodhran, dulcimer, mandolin, flute and guitar. The workshops also include introductions to new repertoire, technical guidance and story telling.

There are lots of concerts and performances taking place all around the town with some top-quality acts lined up such as Sam Kelly, Solana and a supporting cast of amazing local talent.
