The Studio at Stone House, Broome

Where To Stay

Situated only 5 minutes walk from fabulous fishing lakes and dog walking trails and a 10 minute drive from the legendary Norfolk broads, the Studio at Stone house is a stunning accommodation nestled in the heart of the beautiful Waveney valley.

The Studio, once a village dairy and with its own well, still retains some of its rustic appearance even though it’s now attached to the main house and been extended. It is a two story fully furnished holiday studio with a king size bed on the first floor and an open plan lounge and kitchen together with a separate wet room bathroom on the ground floor.

It’s also dog friendly. We are dog lovers (sorry we do not accept cats) and you may meet our fox red labrador, Benji although we will make sure he doesn’t bother you.

The bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase so we are sorry to say, will not suit guests who have a physical disability that would stop them climbing the stairs. The same should also be noted about large dogs if you expect them to stay in the bedroom overnight with you. If you cannot carry them, they will struggle to climb the stairs.

The Studio contains many facilities that we believe will help you enjoy your stay with us including a separate area of the garden for you and your furry friend to enjoy.

The village of Broome is located 2 miles from the historical town of Bungay, 4 miles from Loddon and only 8 miles from both Beccles and Harleston with all the facilities you would expect from large regional towns. Venture less than 20 miles from Broome and you can reach Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft with their numerous attractions and nearby beaches. You are also less than 30 minutes from the county capital of Norwich, a fabulous city.

If you like the rivers then Loddon and Beccles are your local access points onto the Norfolk broads. Day boat hire is available from both, and you can rent for different lengths of time. Your hosts, Joe and Hannah, as recent boat owners on the broads, can answer most questions that you might have so please just ask.

The same goes for local information on walks or places to see and directions. We want you to have a fantastic time while you are staying with us so please ask. If we don’t know we can find out for you.

If you have any suggestions or tips on how we can improve then we would love it if you left a comment in the guest book and of course, please leave us a review on the booking platform that you used to book and on our facebook page.

Finally, have a great time and enjoy what South Norfolk and North Suffolk has to offer.

Our best wishes

Joe and Hannah
