To celebrate 20 years since the Fisher Theatre reopened its doors, this exhibition takes you on a journey through the remarkable story of one of Bungay’s much-loved landmarks.

Discover the theatre’s colourful beginnings as part of David Fisher’s ambitious Theatre Circuit, its closure and changing fortunes, and the years when its future looked uncertain. Then follow the inspiring story of its rescue in 2006 and the extraordinary renaissance that followed.

Two decades on, the Fisher is once again a thriving centre for performance, culture and community — firmly restored to its place at the heart of Bungay.
