Advent: A fundraiser for Owles Warehouse presented by Arts Collective Bungay

November 30 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
£10

Owles Warehouse, on the corner of Trinity Street and Cross Street, has, at various times been a fruit and veg. warehouse, a book depository for Clays Printers and a kitchen workshop and showroom.  But most will know it as the place where we went to took our children to learn ballet and ourselves to learn flamenco from the wonderful Liz Lee.

It is also where the Black Shuck Festival and the Folk Festival hold workshops, where the Fisher Youth Group hold rehearsals and store their fabulous costumes.  But, since we sadly lost Liz a few years ago this building is in danger of being sold off to developers.

Arts Collective Bungay, comprising people passionate about the arts and the building, has formed to try and save it and this December are holding a fundraising event – ADVENT: 10 Songs, 3 Lessons and a Dance (which everyone can join in on).

This is not your usual seasonal gathering: a joyful, funny and thought provoking afternoon which is a celebration of those done waiting and ready to make something happen! Performances from the Waveney SHE Choir, The Feathered Thorns and William Fergusson are interspersed with a couple of ‘lessons’ for these troubled times and a collective dance moment.

Mulled wine and mulled apple juice will be available to buy making this a memorable event this Christmas.

Tickets £10 available from Eventbrite. Or scan the QR code.

We are sorry – there is no disabled access at this time.  Loos are opposite in Cross Street.
