For the last twelve years, St Michael’s Parish Church in Broome near Ditchingham have organised Pop Picnic, an afternoon event in July with live music in an open air setting.
Organiser Joe Perry from Broome St Michael’ Parish Church has announced that tickets are now on sale for this year’s event which will take place on 21st July from 2pm-8pm in Lugs Lane, Broome and the price has been lowered to just £10 in advance for adults, £3 for under 16’s with under 5’s going free.
The line-up for this outside mini festival near Bungay is the X-Men, Strapt 4 Cash, Carol Nicholls and the Lowestoft Signing Choir. The local Bull of the Woods brewery will be running a bar and there will also be a BBQ and a few other stalls, including ice cream, activities for children, raffle, silent auction and more! Last year’s event was a roaring success and enjoyed by all.
The team plan to use the day to celebrate All Hallows – the contribution of the dedicated staff, the Trust and the supporting community over the years. Joe is currently organising a Souvenir Programme kindly supported by local businesses which will chart the history of All Hallows, from its foundation by Mother Lavinia in 1872 through to the present day, and include reminiscences of those who have provided care over the years. It is hoped that this will help to encapsulate and preserve the tradition of All Hallows, which has been such a special place to so many people. Tickets are available from Ditchingham Stores, The Artichoke in Broome and Rosy Lee’s Tearoom in Loddon.
