Bungay hasn’t more litter louts than any other place, fewer if anything, but we do take pride in our town and there is a group – Pride in Bungay – that has been meeting for years to wander around the town looking to see what needs fixing and reporting problems to the relevant authorities. The group is made up of local volunteers and town councillors.
This year the group embarked on a regular litter picking routine and they are always looking for more volunteers – many hands and all that.
The group meets every third Sunday at 10am at the Council offices (1a, Broad Street, Bungay NR35 1EE), the next being Sunday 18th August. If you would like to volunteer you will be equipped with the necessary equipment and high-viz jackets and can choose your own area to litter pick. Just turn up at 10am and away you go!
